Xymertec low viscosity industrial grade epoxy resin

Description

Xymertec Low viscosity Industrial Grade Epoxy Resin is a pure blend of Bis A, Bis F and a mono-functional diluent and is suitable for many industrial and construction applications.

The mix ratio is 2 parts of resin to 1 part hardener, by weight. It is easy to mix using digital scales to proportion the product.

Pour the required amount of resin into a clean mixing container. Zero the scales and add the correct amount of hardener which is half the weight of the resin.

The mixed resin can be blended with various fillers and aggregates to make resin mortars, concrete, adhesives etc at much lower cost than purchasing branded products. Always mix the resin and hardener together before adding the filler or aggregate.

An excellent epoxy mortar can be made by mixing 1 part of mixed resin with 5-6 parts of dry sand. It will set to an extremely tough polymer concrete that will adhere tenaciously to concrete and masonry substrates.

Two hardeners are available. Xyamine 220 is a perfectly clear cycloaliphatic amine hardener that can be used for most applications. It can be used at temperatures down to 10oC and has a pot life of 30 – 40 minutes at 20oC.

Xyamine 550 is an amidoamine hardener which is made with tall oil which is a by product of the paper industry. It is a pale amber colour and has a pot life of 90 minutes at ambient temperatures. It adheres well to damp substrates and makes an excellent adhesive when used with any Xymertec epoxy resin.
